Right to Live and Work Declaration

This Declaration applies to you when you register as a trader (a self-employed tradesperson or trade business) on Fixies. It forms part of, and must be read alongside, the Trader Agreement and Terms of Service.

The Platform is operated by GMHCO LTD (trading as "Fixies"), registered in England & Wales, company number 16056150.

By ticking the right-to-work acceptance box at sign-up, you make the declaration below.

1. Your declaration

By accepting this Declaration, you confirm that:

1.1 you have the legal right to live and, where applicable, work in the country in which you will provide services through the Platform (for UK traders, this means you are not subject to any UK immigration restriction that prevents you from undertaking self-employed work, consistent with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 and current UK Visas and Immigration rules);

1.2 if you are not a British or Irish citizen, your immigration status permits self-employed work or business activity of the kind you intend to carry out on the Platform, and that status is current and not expired;

1.3 the information and any documents (passport, visa, Biometric Residence Permit, share code, or equivalent for your country) you provide to evidence this are genuine, accurate, and belong to you; and

1.4 you will notify us promptly if your right to live or work changes, lapses, or is withdrawn, and will not continue to accept or carry out jobs through the Platform if it does.

2. Verification and evidence

2.1 We may ask you to provide evidence of your right to work (for example, a UK Home Office share code, passport, or visa/permit details) as part of onboarding or at any later point, and may use third-party services (including the Home Office's online right-to-work checking service) to verify it.

2.2 We may suspend your account, withhold payouts, or decline to let you accept new jobs while this evidence is outstanding, unclear, or under review.

2.3 We may re-run this check periodically, in particular where your evidence shows an expiry date or your status is time-limited, and you must provide updated evidence before or promptly after that date.

3. Consequences of a false declaration

3.1 Making this declaration when it is untrue, or knowing it may become untrue, is a serious breach of the Trader Agreement and may be a criminal offence under UK immigration law. It may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, withholding of payouts pending investigation, recovery of fees, and reporting to the relevant authorities (including the Home Office), in addition to any other rights we have under the Trader Agreement.

3.2 You are solely responsible for your own immigration and right-to-work status. Nothing on the Platform, and no acceptance of a job or payout, constitutes advice or assurance from Fixies about your immigration status — if in doubt, seek independent immigration advice.

4. Outside the UK

4.1 If you provide services through the Platform in a country other than the UK, this Declaration applies to the equivalent right to reside and undertake self-employed work or business activity under that country's law, and references to UK legislation and the Home Office are read as references to the equivalent local authority and law.

5. Changes and contact

5.1 We may update this Declaration as set out in the Terms of Service, section 11. If we make a material change, we will ask you to re-confirm it.
